.The Hammer and the Anvil
Hammer: The Summer heat reminds me of the Source from which this ordered chaos has emerged, Anvil: but living room air conditions our course along winding shelves in letters submerged. Hammer: Would I were capable of something sweet, I'd flatter you indulgently, of course. Anvil: Ah, but indulgence burns like smoking peat, that art betrays our fevered passions’ source. Hammer: What would the duty be for words of Love — I s'pose this burning has no blacksmith's worth? Anvil: The duty is prayed for high up above, such shining metal is worth much at court. Hammer: And so we must surmise that now 'tis best Anvil: that thumping hammers forge where lovers rest!
