Dear Friends,
I wanted to send a brief greeting thanking all of you for your membership. It is deeply gratifying to me to write with an audience, and I am deeply grateful that you have chosen to make that possible for me.
You may have noticed my pace got a little wonky the second half of this year. We hope to get back to our Tuesday and Friday morning schedule in 2023.
Additionally, you’ll see that I’ve tightened the branding a little bit. As I’m such an eclectic, any thing I can do to concentrate my thought is good, and so I’m branding everything as Curiosophy Now (itself a somewhat generic term). I toyed in 2021 with doing some punditry, which didn’t really pan out well in this context. Hence the name Declarations, a play with the idea of editorializing in a poetic way. I might still do this kind of writing but, if I do, I’ll do so elsewhere.
The site will more or less continue to have the same content — intersections between symbolism, religious and spiritual traditions, science, consciousness, meaning, psychology and mental health. What I post here about addiction recovery will be oriented toward the aforementioned.
We hope to continue to be a meaning-making endeavor, drawing symbolism out of religiospiritual traditions, and applying that sensibility to addressing the perennial problems of human experience. I’ll continue to do so through the vantage of my own personal experience, and will still contribute bits of commentary where appropriate.
Thank you, again, for your continued support and interest.
Aaron
