“It is Pride to think I can figure everything out;
It is Sloth to disregard my Reason.”
I has Beauty. Or, should I say: I has the capability of embodying and appreciating Beauty.
My intellect and reason give me the capacity to investigate.
This can be empowering: making connections, seeing synchronicity, transmuting concepts through the lens of other metiers, embodying a concept within my own emotional experience, making poetic expressions.
But if I am too faithful to this power, and don’t put it in its proper relation to the One who is my Source and End, I can become Prideful, too confident in my own intellect, and ultimately I will break off from others and isolate.
“True Solitude is connection with Source,
and the setting-place of contemplation;
Isolation is mistaking that place
for the entire Cosmos,
forgetting the contemplative powers
of all Beings.”
The Beginning and the End is Love.
I yearn to make amends with all I’ve hurt, to learn to hold this Joy as often as possible by sharing it with others, to celebrate every moment wherever I find myself, and with whom.
Thank you for being here as I participate in this experience.
À bientôt!
Aaron
