Dear Friends,
Tonight, on an evening walk, I glanced up at the nearly half moon which was so bright against the black sky it was like the neon lights on the Marquee of a theater on Broadway.
I wanted to publish a piece on Tom Verlaine today. You may know that he left this mortal coil on Saturday. I have about half of the piece completed, but I simply need more time to sit with the ideas. I'll release it on Friday, and it should be worth it.
In the meantime, I needed to rest and center myself. Our English word “meditation,” is related to our words “medium” and “media.” In that respect, it is about finding one's center.
So I lit a candle and some incense, did some chanting, and read some of my favorite poetry. In lieu of an article, please find that practice below.
With Great Affection,
Aaron
